    That may actually be a life saver. With how complicated moving is getting. If you’ve moved around high rises a few times you know you could end up temporary homeless just because somthing failed.

    You need to provide 2 month notice when moving out of most places. Yet to move in they often want you to sign a lease asap. So finding a place 2 months in advance is often impossible. You need to pay overlap rents in 2 places at once or take a huge risk of being homeless. If you don’t pay overlap and just hope a place is availble 2 months down the road you may be out of luck.

    Having a place to stay for a month while you keep looking may be a good reason to avoid overlap and take the risk.

    Mind you then you’d still need to move your stuff into storage. And then your paying the movers twice. So not the best option yet.
