Well yeah, but that’s the difference between volunteering and being on a big salary. Hopefully the influx of new users will lead to more code input though, and more donations.

Yeah using it rn is pretty ass compared to old reddit and 3rd party apps. Good things coming tho.

It’s exciting to see all these apps ramping up development. Honestly, the greatest gift that Reddit gave to the fediverse is sending all their former third party developers here, because that will greatly accelerate development.

The end of Sync is the reason why I will leave Reddit at the end of the month. So nice to see that we eventually might get a new app for Lemmy!

Just created an account then downloaded Jerboa. I am +/- ten minutes old here in Fediverse yet. About to delete my 11 year-old account in Reddit. Thank you u/spez

Wow, I’ve never even used Sync but from the screenshot of the Reddit app on Google Play it’s one of those UIs so good that make you want to use it. I’m currently fine with the Lemmy PWA but the more feature-complete Reddit apps that get “ported” to be used with Lemmy the better, especially to ease the transition for new users.

I saw it in the redditsync subreddit already - this is such great news, especially since I’m still struggling to get used to the Lemmy interface. I had bought Sync Pro 7 years ago and it is probably the most heavily used app on my phone.

I’m genuinely so excited for this and and the same time hoping boost makes one too. They recently dropped their latest update and it looks beyond pretty with the rounded edge cards and adaptive colours.

Never used Sync (I used RiF then slide) but I’ll check it out when it’s released. The is great news for lemmy and the fediverse. Oh and fuck reddit.

So many good news. Glad these developers are also trying out other options since Reddit has started shitting itself.

      Same here, I’m so excited!

I’m more than happy to pay for a service I enjoy so I legitimately cannot wait to give him my money.

Here’s to new beginnings in the Fediverse!

Likely a game changer that has be giving Lemmy a try. Jerboa isn’t too terrible either.

I agree. Been using Jerboa as well and it’s nice and usable enough as a placeholder, but I’ll be watching the Sync development. Can’t wait!

Jerboa has been nice, besides the weird glitch where it shoots me back to the top of a post when scrolling down. Lol

Otherwise it’s pretty good for a FOSS solution!
