GNOME search can’t calculate stuff. krunner on KDE is increadibly powerful. Is there anything I can do to make GNOME’s search a bit more like krunner? at least do basic math …
Gnome has search providers and if you have Gnome Calculator installed searching any calculation will provide an answer next to gnome calculator in the result.
I’ve got it installed. Maybe a flatpak issue?
probably, why didn’t you install it through the package manager?
Fedora silverblue. Everything is boxed.
Are you sure it’s enabled in the search settings?

You can’t do this on windows though, instead you send a bunch of data back and forth to Bing so they can monitor you and make sure you’re being a good consumer when you ask what 5+6 is.
And then the AI hallucinates an incorrect answer for you.
You have calculator in start menu search?
Then why post on !linux@programming.dev?
