I got “2061: Odyssey three” as a gift but I didn’t read first two books. Can I start with 2061 or should I read 2001 and 2010 first?

I mean, you can read anything in any order, do you boo. Those stories however are definitely “chronological” and build off of each other. So I would not only reading the last one.
I would suggest to read them in order.
One of the best hard SF series I read. Really enjoyed it
