This isn’t meant to be a completed model, but was a color and pattern test for something else.
I originally was going to apply the blue ink wash and then reenforce it with some lighter blue as needed but the wash all over actually worked very well to both shade and stain in one step. Slapped some tiger stripes on to see how they’d look against it.
Simple, like applying any factory made wash all over a mini. Making sure to get it more densely in the folds of the uniform without so much that it would drip out.
It wasn’t just the ink in my squeeze bottle but a DIY wash of that ink, flow aid, purified water, and matte medium. The end result flows into recesses and is less strong over colors than the ink on its own. The recipe was adapted from my brown and black washes.
5ml matte medium
5ml purified water
15 drops of flow aid
24 drops of ink
Put it in a bottle with a steel mixing ball and shake it up.

I’m always looking for new options. How did you make it?

Looks pretty good! Is this with an airbrush?
Applied with a value pack craft brush. Just had to be careful no to apply it too thickly on the raised areas.
Oh cool. How was the experience with inks instead of regular paints?

Awesome thank you.
