I have had the rain poncho for quite some time, and it saved me more than once.

But when it happened that the rain got heavy, I got my shoes and ankle completely soaked. And it was not funny 😏

So I bought a pair of light decathlon overshoes (I think btwin overshoes 900).

Today we had some serious rain and I was able to cycle 7+7 km without getting wet (excluding my face…) and without sweating (this is the real advantage of the rain poncho in respect to waterproof jacket+pants IMHO).

The catch is that where I live there are rarely strong winds, except during thunderstorms (but then I would avoid cycling into a thunderstorm anyway…).

What is your solution for rainy days?

My poncho is from Decathlon, and I’m pretty sure it is worse than anything from cleverhood (at least I hope so!). The hand attachments are not great and the fitting is meh, but I love the color

    my poncho is very bright

Of course they only fully work if you have full length fenders with a good mudflap

    What about mine 🤣?

    my diy mudflap

Thank you! Low cost solution 😁

It is a lifesaver: the fender is too short and I found myself over and over with a mud line running vertically along the center of my back 😏

I don’t know why they designed the original rear fender so short!
