But prosecutors said the mitigating factors notwithstanding, her crimes were “exceptionally cunning” and worthy of a life sentence for bribery.

maybe bit isn’t quite the word, ‘supporting’ to string along the theatrical allusion. i mostly was just on the apparent confusion between her and the ones at the head of it. this is a super great story tho, imagine if anglo civil servants ever faced consequences like this
