The better solution is to have not created the problem to begin with. It is an awesome possibility to undo the date that we’ve done, but it doesn’t give us a pass to continue doing what we’re doing. Like saying “We can keep making all the trash we do cause we just burn it! Isn’t it great?”
This. Bioremediation has promising potential but as someone who has done bioremediation research in various applications… your comment reflects how I wish more people would think. Far too many people interpret advancements like this as a free pass to continue practices terrible for the environment.
IMO, bioremediation is basically being hijacked by corporate polluters (oil companies) trying to greenwash their products.
