Say what you like about Trump, but it makes sense that the most miserable, dumb, bitter and pathetic people have picked him as their leader.

I just can’t see personal vengeance being a winning platform for the general election in 2024, and I’ve yet to see any other policy proposal put forward by Trump.

I note that this isn’t a new statement (original was in 2020 per the article), but a video conflating older Trump statements, compiled by his supporters, that he then “re-Truthed.” It’s a clever way of getting past the restrictions of calling for violence without getting yourself in legal trouble.

It’s also indicative of a deliberate attempt to spur individuals to commit acts of domestic terrorism, especially when seen in the context of the recent Nick Fuentes rally. Sadly, I can only see these calls intensifying as we approach the general election, unless by some miracle the Justice Department manages to put him in a prison where he can’t use his phone.

Be safe and smart out there and protect each other. Nobody deserves to die for this slime.

It wins with his base because they’ve been conditioned to think of everyone else as their enemy who deserve punishment. Furthermore, Trump himself is billed as a victim of persecution.

You’re right, the way he boosted this allows him to insulate himself against prosecution. But it’s still hate speech and he’s still boosting it. This is what we can look forward to if he’s not put in prison for the rest of his natural life.

I agree, but note I said the general election, not the primary, which is where I do see it working. He simply needs more than that to appeal to independents in the general election, without whom, he cannot win.

It shouldn’t have worked before, either. Trump plays to the base emotions of conservative voters, the fear and anger that defines them. So if we don’t want a repeat of 2016, get out the vote.

Trump has little political power anymore. He has lost many of his supporters. He is an enemy of the Republican front-runner (Desantis), and he’s facing dozens of felony criminal charges and civil suits. He’s in no position to be threatening anyone. He’s just looking for attention through strife again, since that card has played so well for him in the past.

According to all current surveys, Trump is the front-runner and not DeSantis

I despise Trump and want him Thanos-ed. But DeSantis is not at all the Republican front runner. Not even close.

      This is from fivethirtyeight…

Edit>> And I do agree…Trump is nothing but a failed wannabe-despot who is clinging to any shred of his cult to try to get his own personal revolution so he doesn’t spend his very little time left playing with his very tiny penis in prison.
