I read your article. It’s nothing but slander. You can’t aggressively accuse an entire political party of being the reason you’re marginalized, and then ask them for help at the same time.

Especially when they’ve provenly tried time and again to help and have the receipts to validate it.

What the democrats are doing is plenty- IF what they are doing could succeed past the submissions of the bills/laws. Your article is biting the hand. Nothing more.

Settlers like you say this every day and wonder why they’re bleeding like stuck pigs in the polls. You can’t expect support when you make no moves to ACTUALLY pass anything, when you only offer up performative breadcrumbs for the marginalized that are doomed to get swatted down by the republicans you hide behind because you didn’t do what you people do every time it comes time to give weapons to genocidal europeans and attach it as a rider to something that HAS to be passed.

The way you people play the game isn’t slick. You can’t be a skullduggerous settler and then expect help from the people whose eyes you spit in on the daily.

This sounds a whole lot like “Shut the hell up and be greatful you’re even getting this much help!”. Democrats are not doing enough. They could do way more. It wasn’t that long ago that they had the house, senate, and presidency. They don’t because they think it will hurt their election chances. Should I and my other queer friends be grateful that no matter where we are, red state or blue state? lots of us still experience conversion therapy? Or that so many of us are homeless? Or that sex work is one of the few reliable sources of income (yet highly criminalized, leading to hugely exploitative conditions!) for trans people?

Because it is. And god help you if you DO decide to walk away, 'cause that’s when the crackers start wishing horrific death upon you at the hands of the people they claim are their enemies. “Don’t you know they’ll put you in a camp? Don’t you know they’ll gun you down in the streets? Don’t you know those republicans are looking for a reason to lynch people?” (Like democrats haven’t been funding the single biggest lynch mob on the planet since Obama’s administration)

So… you admit you are getting help, but yelling at those helping because it’s not enough??

You’re going to get the help you get until we can get rid of the conservatives that block those trying to help you.

Maybe you can help this along by telling those who are shouting at people to not vote. Because every third part vote, and every protest non-vote is barreling you towards even worse treatment-

And yes. This sounds a lot like “plug your nose and vote for someone you don’t like.”

Because THAT is what decades of inaction and people whining on the internet every four years gets you.

Do harm reduction voting if you want. I do that to- I voted for Biden. But it’s not enough. Trans people need help now. If you read my article’s call to action (which, despite you claiming to have read it, you repeatedly demonstrate that you haven’t by bringing up electoralism), I advocate for direct action. Doing things like showing up to your local school district’s board meetings (fascists like moms for liberty are already there, even if you’re in a blue state. Don’t let them monopolize the conversation.). I ask for people to show up and counterprotest when fascists target drag shows. I ask for people to participate in protests of civil disobedience, as well as to lend their couch to the their local trans person at risk of homelessness. That has a much more tangible real life impact on trans people right now than virtue signaling by democratic politicians.

Suggesting to everyone what they can do, and how- in and of itself is a great way to shine a light on necessary and urgently needed changes to pressing civil issues- but….

slandering an entire political party for not helping as much as you’d like?

Isn’t the right way to go about it.

Especially when they seemingly bend over backwards to try and help- despise strong opposition.

Fuck your civility politicking. Fuck your tone policing. Fuck your optics pearl-clutching. None of those change the facts we live under. Actually do better, actually get in your politicos’ asses to make them stop supporting the manifold genocides they fund, and maybe you won’t get slagged-- 'cause right now, your genocidaires are moving obviously to line their own pockets and maintain their own comforts.
