A map illustrating the rise and expansion of the Tsardom of Russia under the rule of Ivan IV Vasilyevich (commonly known as The Terrible, from the Russian “grozny“(грозный), Fearsome or Awe-inspiring). Originally a Grand Prince of Moscow, Ivan IV became the first to be crowned and rule as the Tsar of all Russia (from the Latin Caesar), previously a conglomerate of dutchies. He laid the foundation of absolute rule, engaged in a reign of terror against the nobility, reformed the government, opened diplomatic relations with England, wrote music, oversaw cultural and religious renaissance, and aggressively expanded the Russian borders through war and conquest. Shortly after his death (in 1584), Russia entered decades of instability known as The Troubles (Смута) that ended his Rurik dynasty and opened the way for the Romanovs.

    https://www.psypost.org/flatulences-surprising-role-in-hormone-production-and-womens-mental-health/

Recent research published in the journal Cell has revealed a fascinating interaction between gut bacteria and human health, particularly concerning women’s health and postpartum depression. The study found that certain gut bacteria produce gas that stimulates other bacteria to convert glucocorticoids, a type of steroid, into progestins. Progestins are hormones involved in pregnancy and are used in treatments for postpartum depression. This discovery sheds light on the potential role of the gut microbiome in regulating hormones and influencing women’s health.

Ok but what does this have to do with farting didnt-kill-himself

they found that the bacteria that make the hormone used in postpartum depression meds need a gassy intestine to do their thing.

A key finding was the identification of two bacterial species, Gordonibacter pamelaeae and Eggerthella lenta, which were capable of converting THDOC into THPs. This conversion was found to depend heavily on the presence of hydrogen gas (H2). Hydrogen gas is produced predominantly by gut bacteria during the fermentation of non-digestible carbohydrates.
