    Yeah, we need to stop respecting the “pastor” title. It’s so often self-granted and there are no qualifications or prerequisites. Anyone can call themselves a religious leader.

      A bit funny that in spanish pastor is also how you call a shepherd.

        This is the original meaning, like in “the Lord is my Shepherd.” I always asked if that would make me a sheep.

        The word “pastor” derives from the Latin noun pastor which means “shepherd” and is derived from the verb pascere – “to lead to pasture, set to grazing, cause to eat”.

      This is a really good point, and Pastor Weirdfish has a nice ring to it.

      From now on I’ll start all declarative statements “As a religious leader…”
