For context this from a “leftist” group chat where there was buncha discussion about the growing hepatitis and possible polio in gaza. The person who typed it “got heart diseases from the bill gates vaccines” and this was their claim that hepatitis incidence is fake and bill gates conspiracy to give vaccines to gaza.

Thats some ad hominem shit. I guess there even is a Wikipedia Article about that. I am usually not a person who throws those explanations about fallacies in a conversation, but this is a exception.

People which believe in esoteric or in consperative theories are using as hominem stuff a lot.

Your opinion is invalid, because you are a jew, woman, muslim, black, from Asia or because you are not an expert. The examples I mentioned are chauvinistic, bit they don’t have to be.

That you have to be a Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. Of something to be able to argue, is not right. Tbh at this point I would probably point out, that this kind of argument is illogical and a fallacy. And then leave it be. They probably just don’t know how to counter your arguments and rather continue pretending that your argument is invalid because your didn’t visit some school in burgerland.

Yeah. They did it cause I spoke about their weird vaccine beliefs. And called them dumb.

They didn’t argue. They just said I’m a rude person who can’t type sophisticated ways without cursing.

The group was more offended over me even asking that. They were claiming I was being very acrimonious and bringing disunity. Not the racist person.
