I mainly use Orion on iOS as it has built in Ad tracking blockers. I’m not against ads on sites, but they have become so intrusive and make browsing on the move very disruptive.

I seem to be using multiple browsers at the moment. On desktop, Arc (chrome wrapped in a fancy UI) On mobile (iOS), I primarily use Orion as it does an amazing job of blocking intrusive and endless ads. Finally Safari or Firefox on iOS for compatibility on occasional sites. The main day to day feature I like is vertical tabs. Both Arc and Orion have this out of the box.

That’s a very good and fair point.

It sounds like total incompetence, but I can’t believe that they don’t have a bigger plan. Like they’re burning the forest to promote new growth. Only the way they are going about it is to pull the rug from under our feet and ruin their brand.

With all the time and effort mods like yourself put into looking after subs, does Reddit not have at the very least a way of publicly rewarding moderators that do some much work keeping subs running? I know fellow Redditors can hand out ‘rewards’ but something directly from Reddit would show the community how much mods are appreciated and required.

I’ve seen this crop up and come across the term ‘tankies’. Is this referring to all of Lemmy or only certain instances.

The fediverse seems great, but also a bit like the Wildwest.

I really like kagi and use the Orion browser. But after trialing a month’s subscription, I just couldn’t justify the additional cost. Their lowest tier just doesn’t have enough search’s for my monthly usage. It does put into perspective how many pointless searches one can do when searches are ‘free’. Each time one conducts a search, you are spinning up a machine somewhere in the world, multiply that by X and all that wasted resource becomes clear.

A quick perspective toggle would have been very cool, and would allow you to tackle situations (combat, infiltration etc) in a more tactical way. But given the issues they had at launch with the engine, I could only imagine how much of a challenge it would have been to stop the 3rd person camera from glitching through the environment. It’s still a shame though as you can go 3rd person when on a bike.

Yep, first time stepping into the fediverse, enjoying it so far but still trying to get my head around it. Also hoping that decent apps start to appear, which I would be willing to subscribe to if they had active development.

I want there to be a good and chilling sports game. Used to love playing FIFA then PES soccer, before all the micro transaction bullshit hit the fan. I’m curious about Super Mega Baseball 4.

Destiny 2 was my goto, something an about the game loop and mechanics is so satisfying. But agree that it’s becoming less and less chill, especially for solo players. The most frustrating aspect with the recent changes, is trying to get exotic armour. You can only get them by completing a master lost sector, solo. But you have to be at a high stat level, achieved by either a tonne of grinding, or teaming up with other players. Ultimately one feels stuck between a rock and a hard place. Don’t have enough time to spend teaming up with other players, but can’t level up to complete the super hard solo content. Makes me want to jump back into Pilotwings.

I totally forgot about those moments! (⁀ᗢ⁀)

Going to miss using Apollo. Great design and Christian built it with the user experience first.
