Agree that DRG is a better built game. It forces people into roles and while you can double up on a role, it’s usually not going to work. On a 4 player game, you need all four classes tools to succeed. Helldivers 2 is really fun, but it fails at providing mechanics that aren’t shooting. The jetpack should be a viable tool for movement, but the cool down is so high it’s worthless. And all the objectives are mechanically the same. Go to a place, press a button combo and wait.

I think OP makes good points, but there are mechanical reasons that you often get 4 people with the same load out and that’s because all their is to do in the game is killing things.
