  • That goofy, fun loving person that I remember I used to be is now replaced with a quiet, cynical shut in. My dream of living in a house I own is forever gone. Debt, disease in the family, the onset of potential wars, and the cost of just being alive have pushed that fun loving person down into a deep dark hole. I used to live in fear of the world ending in fire but now, as fucked up as it may sound, I kind of sympathize with the villains in movies. The world has gotten to the point, in my opinion, that shit needs to burn to make way for a new world. This world is just too fucked up beyond repair. It needs a hard reset. So, you’re not alone. The mental health has taken a nose dive and hit every branch of the ugly tree on its way down.

  • From what I understand (Don’t take what I say as correct as it may be wrong) but when 語(はな) hana, which is derived from 話す(はなす) hanasu which is the verb to speak, is paired with a nationality, with some exceptions of course like English which is 英語(えいご) eigo, it describes a language. So, pair 語(はな) hana with 日本(にほん) nihon, Japan in Japanese, then you get 日本語(にほんご) nihongo, meaning Japanese. Another example is French which is フランス語 (Furansugo).

And 勉強 is the Kanji for べんきょ(benkyo) which means study.

  • I was selling an Xbox one and a dude got in touch with asking if he could trade something for it. I can’t remember what it was but I think it was slightly worth less than what I was selling for so I offered a deal. Give me this plus $100 and the Xbox is yours. He agreed so I traveled about an hour to meet him at a train station and met up with him.

I give him the Xbox and he gives me the thing and looks me dead in the eye and says “Well, where’s my $100?”

I don’t know how people can be like that. It baffles me. Needless to say, I just settled the deal with what he gave me since I just wanted that Xbox gone.
