Yeah, I’m feeling a bit lost here too. I’ve been using mostly ‘hot’ (found this post using it), but there’s also the issue with dynamic posts, that suddenly there’s a cascade of posts being loaded and you lose where you were on the feed.
Does this momentary overload impact the feed across instances? I was testing it today and was getting different feeds on different instances, even though I had the same settings (‘all’, active, hot, new comments, etc.). I had the impression that the ‘all’ feed would be the same in every instance, considering that they are federating somewhat the same instances.
It was sort of expected, unfortunately. Let’s see if they keep doing it to other subs and how things will go if they keep removing mods.
Agreed. Also their hardware and software integration, long term support, and battery when compared to other flagship phones, although the s23 seems to be on par with iPhones this time around.
Oh my god, I love it hahahaha
You could argue that he’s trying to tank the company
I’m kinda lost here. What’s his end goal with it?
That is… competely unintuitive 🤨… like why not just have a spyglass icon there, why the hamburger thing 🤨… maybe it’s a bug 🤷.
Agreed hahaha.
What bugs me is the URL handling, it keeps redirecting me to a browser, then I have to copy the instance-community link and copy it back here for the search 😒.
The search redirects me within the app, but links for communities in comments seem to open in the browser. Seems that that are still some bugs here and there in the app.
It’s the 3 stacked lines icon on the bottom bar, beside the Home icon. It seems like that if you input part of the community name, it’ll find it, but it doesn’t seems to find communities by topic or anything like that.
I loved people’s reaction when they saw someone link a setting for the first time hahaha. Someone recommended jerboa over reddit and that’s what I’m using for now, but it seems to get buggy sometimes and it logs me out, then I have to force close it to log back in.
Super sad about sync. Ljdawson won me over when he implemented a swipe action that I asked and am probably one of the few who uses it. Sad times.
I love you
