That’s cool. Dosbox-pure is the only reason I still use retroarch.

But one thing is using the retroarch core it automatically maps commonly used keys for dos games to handheld controller, which is nice. Does anyone know if this standalone version will have some function like that?

I loved my DS lite, and this looks like a nice premium version of it. But I refuse to sink any more money into these cheap retro handhelds.

I’ve had 3 Anbernic devices, and 1 powkiddy. Only have one left working. The powkiddy v90 stopped working (can’t figure that one out), and two of the Anbernics got inflated batteries.

As much care as I tried to take with having the right usb cord, the right amperage charger, Only charge it when I can have it sitting next to me to check in it, never unattended or over night… I do love these things but they need some sort of proper battery management hardware or something.

I pretty much went Wolf3d, Doom, Doom 2, Duke 3d, Blood, Quake 2, Unreal, etc.

Quake was cool, for sure, but I never felt like I wanted to play it for more than 10 minutes. Hell, I think I put more time in some crappy shareware shooters like Nitemare 3d and operation bodycount.

Internet, TV, posters, billboards, radio, on the side of trams, all over sports grounds, emails, text messages.

The Sony k-series. I had the k850i. Such a cool phone but pressing the tiny stiff buttons hurt so much after a while.

Advertising. I’ll have been thinking about something I want to buy, but then the product or retailer shoves their shit in front of me with advertisements and I’ll give up on it out of principle.

For the couple months I’ve noticed Swiftfin has had a message in the settings screen saying I should upgrade to Jellyfin 12 or some features won’t work properly.

Jellyfin 12 wasn’t even released yet.

If you don’t like Gnome, use Aurora (the sister distro of Bluefin and Bazzite).

I used to play around with Aeon (built from opensuse). But it’s locked to Gnome only. I’d stick with Aurora or Bazzite instead.

It’s never been a great experience, it’s been a few years since I used it but it had a bunch of issues and itch didn’t seem to care much about fixing it.

I’ve never played it. I’ve read that article before but I didn’t have a copy on my Saturn. I kind of feel like I should try to emulate it at least though to give it a go.

it’s the gameplay loop for me. The climbing, the rainbows, I’m into it. The bubbles and the popping, and the single screen that moved on to the next, wasn’t what I was into. but I do like to try at least.

I’ve definitely seen matches from them on YouTube some years ago. Did they have Orange Cassidy wearing a robot?

Everybody likes different things though. Bubble Bobble is one of those games that I’m like “Noo… I don’t wanna play this”

Even better, they’re doing an Orwell reference in defence of fascists.

I hate Bubble Bobble. I like Rainbow Island much more.
