100%, it’s also fairly spicy to my nose.
I’m definitely glad to have some!

First shave with Rhapsody since I received it in a trade earlier this week. Really lovely scent that I’m going to enjoy spending more time with. This was a wonderfully smooth, slick lather.
Have a great one y’all. ✌️
Man, I think I’d have trouble finding the time to consistently get two shaves in every day for a month!
Confluence sounds lovely
Well now I have to ask: how did it originate?
October 29, 2024 - Part Two
Back with an evening shave because I have a packed morning tomorrow.
I enjoyed this BaM combo, and I am definitely looking forward to spending more time with Fougère Angelique.

What is BBS November? 👀
October 29, 2024 - Tabac Tuesday
No fuss shave with Tabac this morning. I’m all stanked up and ready for the day.
Have a great one y’all. ✌️
Not really in this case. It was an initial database schema design, so everything is pretty interrelated.
I have opinions about how this internship process has gone, but not enough control to significantly change the process.

Back to the grind. I have like 3k lines of intern code to review this morning. 🥲
Roam Two definitely helps though. I find it to be such a comforting scent.
Good luck this week y’all.
I’ve been very curious about this soap for a while but haven’t pulled the trigger.
Is it primarily wood smoke, or do you get other notes as well?
Do you notice any difference with how easy these are to hone, or how well they keep an edge?
It’s cool that you have two razors with such a slight difference. I could also see myself trying to sleuth out some difference between the two!

Learning how to use this Super Speed has been an interesting experience. I often find myself thinking that it’s too light, but if I can match it with a very light touch I get great results.
I stand by my opinion that Stirling soaps were made for boar brushes. The lather this morning was incredible.
Have a great Sunday y’all. ✌️
It could be worth trying milder blades. Feathers are definitely on the aggressive side.
In my opinion if you use a properly hydrated lather, it shouldn’t prevent you from seeing what’s going on.
I’d focus on getting as much water as possible into your lather. Then use as mild of a DE razor as you own.
I’ve personally never had trouble using a DE “down there.” I typically use a Merkur 34C for this and have had great results.
Granted, I don’t have lady bits down there so I can’t speak to those specific difficulties. I have to assume though that you’d get good results with a properly hydrated lather, a mild razor, and a good deal of care.
That’s a good idea, I’ll pop into a thrift store at some point and see.
I also have these 2 oz tins that I put Stirling samples into for brush loading. Perhaps I should just reserve one of those for lathering up other samples…
That’s interesting that it was the original source of iodine!
I guess I wouldn’t think that it was a particularly strong scent. Agreed though, I’d love a real briny scented soap.
That soap sounds very interesting! Does it have algae and seaweed as ingredients?
October 31, 2024 - Halloween Shave
Really excellent results with the Super Speed today. I also very much enjoy the scent of Boonana, but it seems this is another soap that gives me a bit of frag burn. I think there must be a bit of cinnamon oil in there.
I was considering the trifecta before today’s shave. Now back to the drawing board for a properly spooky set.
Have a good one! ✌️
