I found youtube videos unbearable as well and I found the culprit to be ambient mode in the video settings. I ended up adding a rule in ublock origin to delete the ambient mode stuff regardless of the setting just to make sure ambient mode is disabled in private windows etc.
I use Firefox because I really like the containers extension that makes sure each tab is its own environment to prevent cross contamination of cookies etc. Also, I can rest assured that ublock origin is working as intended by the author since it is primarily targeted toward Firefox these days I think.
Sadly I had to stop using Firefox on my gaming Windows box because for whatever reason my Firefox install seems to gobble up all of my GPU memory. It’s working fine on Mac and Linux though.
This is super cool! It looks like it could be a useful tool for experimenting with different settings in a more visual way. Thanks for sharing :)
I wish there static mac binaries were also produced together with the windows and linux ones though :(
I have the same issue but adding a heaping tablespoon of psyllium husks to the soylent really helps with the fullness problem.
