Posadas was a trot and fairly influential in mid-century LatAm. Posadists played some role in the Cuban revolution, so there’s a historic trot to Cuba connection even though Cuba was allied to the USSR.
If contemporary neoliberalism is secular-Calvinist, this looks like leftist secular-Protestantism, further fracturing within fracturing and all.
This is why there’s no american left.If you actually read the chart, most of the splits re-merged. With the remaining parties being DSA, SA, and CPUSA (the original party). Most of the splits that do remain have become committees within one of the bigger parties.
With some of the older trot splinters just focusing on things like art and newspapers.
I also think that SA and DSA are federated and I know CPUSA does a lot of work with both depending on the size of the local. I see all the groups at rallies around me and they all know each other and are friendly.
Ah, forgot PSL, they’re also pretty closely integrated with groups like CPUSA and DSA when it comes to actual action.

Yeah, my time with the DSA in Asheville has a lot of splitting attempts trashed. We had a good contingent that was also SRA and the only thing that got us was one of the leadership being implicated in some sexual abuse.
The chapter still goes on though and is run my more teachers and service workers now as there help to organize both those groups or here and move away from the reading group status of the old guard.
Sadly I’ve been a passive member for a while now after moving away from Asheville, but they do good work out there
