Admittedly history is my weakest subject, but the only one applicable to me is the gettysberg. Was it lincoln?
Yes, sir
It’s worse than it sounds.
Of the people who can name the three branches of government, even fewer actually understand how they work.
It’s worse than that. When I was active duty, I got a free poster that shows that 3 branches of government and put it up in the office. We fell under the executive branch after all. I figured the people that support and defend the constitution might want to know about it.
One of my Marines was like, oh is that how it works. I’m not sure what we teach the youth anymore, but it’s not enough.
The poster looked like this one.

I feel like I remember learning about the branches of government in like 3rd grade, but I only really remember Executive and Judicial.
How they’re supposed to work or how they do work?
Cause at times those are very different.
Most understand neither.
If that’s even remotely true, then I can see how things have turned out the way they have. A populous that understands damn near nothing about the world around them is simply not prepared to fight the ever increasing amount of disinformation and scapegoating thrown at them by those with malicious motives
33% of people have an IQ lower than 90. 100 is the average. The average human is already pretty stupid.
