When he says “we are doing well,” it’s even less ambiguous. He’s saying he personally is doing well. Meaning he is either profiting in terms of personal influence, compliments from Putin, feeling powerful, etc. That’s all that means.

So there was a poll where an overwhelming majority of Americans blame Russia for the war (duh). Shortly after finding out Trump “threatened” Russia without taking any actual measures. My theory on Trump is that the guy bullshited everyone all his life and now, although all his words are scrutinized, continues bullshiting out of reflex.

This one is easy. His idea about what “doing really well with Russia” means is way different from what American officials have had for decades.
Trump has realized he can get away with saying anything. This is because he is doing it constantly, and it exhausts peoples ability to react after a while.
