Heck, maybe they’ll listen to me more because I’m an independent voter in a swing state and not someone who they can take for granted as a party member.

My influence is so dilute that it’s practically homeopathic. I’m fine giving that up. If anything, being an independent voter in a swing state gives me more influence than being a loyal Democrat.
