As if police thought they could take on firefighters. The one group who does one physical exam before never exercising again and the other that has to stay fit and regularly, heroically pulls other humans out of burning buildings with full safety gear on.
That particular video is from the gilets jaunes protests, but you’ll often see firefighters join the side of the protestors because they’re affected by the reforms too. Police would be affected, but Macron keeps paying them off so that they don’t turn against him lol. Like now you get a huge signup bonus if you become a cop from what I understand.
They’re also wearing their gear during the confrontation, which effectively dampens the baton strikes sooo, wear thick clothes when you go protesting I guess.
