    The hidden frustrating part for me was having to switch back and forth between Owner and microG profiles. That was until I realized the point of ptivacy-hardened AOSP OSs is to gradually help you transition to only using the maximally private profile. Each time you get a minor frustration you make a mental note to find a FOSS alternative in F-Doid, Aurora, etc that’ll fulfill the same role as whatever the Play Store bloatware used to do for you.

    It’s ridiculously easy to get started and then it becomes a simple, cheap, and rewarding hobby. All with the long-term benefit of minimizing constant tracking and profiling. Cory Doctorow would be proud. 😜

    Reinstalling stock Android is just as simple as installing GrapheneOS. But you won’t be willing to revert if you don’t try and go too far into protecting your privacy. Go step by step and it will really make you happy!
