The last Dem to get a smidge of power for 2 years was Barack Obama and he passed the weakened ACA with it.
He maintained his all-important legacy as a very white-seeming non-controversial black man.

Campaigning with Cheneys, promising full support for a zionist genocide, backing off from universal healthcare and trans rights. Need I go on?
