Paywalled. But I have seen this clipping for years and never seen anybody claim it wasn’t real.
Snopes isn’t paywalled, and neither is the newspaper archive they link to.
Looks like your adblocker sucks. I’ve uBO on Firefox (Android) and I just see the page normally without ads.
Anyway it just gives some nice background and shows that the text was copied from a Popular Mechanics article:

Perhaps you haven’t enabled the same filters or are behind on updates?
