In 1990 they were poorer per capita than Afghanistan, Cambodia, DR Congo, Ghana, Haiti, India, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, The Philippines, Sudan, Zimbabwe. Both where they were then and also where they are now in the cases where they’ve gotten poorer.
