      These are the magic words. It works at customs too. When they tell you to look into the camera, just say “no thank you”

    This is just a ploy to build a huge database of civilian facial scans for further monitoring. Yes, we already have driver’s licenses and photo IDs but real-time scans will train systems to be more accurate to identify and get the population used to and comfortable with being tracked on a daily basis.

    We need to make it manditory that every one of these cameras has a sign on it that clearly says that you can opt-out of facial recognition.

    They currently don’t even clearly identify them as facial recognition cameras. Most people probably think it’s just taking a picture
