His apartment isn’t too archaic lol, my first apartment like 3 years ago was actually pretty similar. The only difference was that I didn’t have a CRT tv lol.

Thank god. Further consolidation is bad, regardless of which evil company is doing it.
Lmao I shit you not I’m literally listening to the Strokes while reading your comment! Was super cool going through your playlist actually, you’ve got some really good taste! I didn’t know everything, but it was especially cool seeing Kaiser Chiefs, The Bravery, New Order, and Cake. Always love seeing Floyd and Radiohead too lol.
I was actually going to recommend Arcade Fire, or “Dry the Rain” by the Beta Band, but it looks like you’re already on top of it.
Edit: Fuuck you even have The Killers’ cover of Shadowplay! Such a good song.
Edit2: Sorry lol I just keep discovering more stuff in this playlist, but you even have some Neutral Milk Hotel?? Dude they’re my favorite band of all time, you have my respect
It’s my first time, yeah. I’d never heard of the Fediverse at all until now.
No kidding I love Queens of the Stone Age! What else are you into? I could totally give you some recommendations if you’re interested.
Recycling is just a way for the corporations responsible for this to shift responsibility to us, and avoid accountability.
You can sub to whatever communities you want though, regardless of instance. So it doesn’t actually matter which one you join.
I love Interpol, but tbh Turn on the Bright Lights is probably their only album where I love every song. I love plenty of individual songs from their others, but not the entire albums.
I’m surprised you don’t have any others outside of Interpol tho. They’re not exactly super well known.
Damn, good choice! This is for sure one of my top 5 albums of all time.
True, I went back to play AC1 and stopped midway through because I was bored. I remember AC2 being great but now I’m worried it was nostalgia.
Just Google, unless I’m looking to pirate something. Then I use Yandex.
I’ve actually really gotten into the emulation scene, so I’m playing through Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and some Pokemon rom hacks rn. Also some Fallout New Vegas.
I’m playing Diablo 4, but not on Deck.
Skyrim for sure. I have an embarrassing number of hours thanks to the modding community.
I know lol it just seems really daunting. And idk if the userbase is even large enough to support what I’d personally want. It’d probably be just me.
But regardless, I’d love a community like the NatureIsLit subreddit, or even AIDKE (animals I didn’t know existed).
I’m waiting til after the blackout. Afterwords I’m pulling the plug.
I know you said you’re looking for something harder and more mature, but I cant help but recommend Pokémon Bushido, and Pokémon Xenoverse. Both excellent games imo.
I’m loving Beehaw! And it’s super cool that we can all interact across servers and communities.
I think this has a lot of potential, I mean I’m already using it a ton. The only thing missing imo is more niche communities, but those will come along as the user base grows.
There’s also a native pc port for Jak and Daxter, if anyone’s interested. I believe the team is also working on the other two games too.
Most of their games at this point are pretty different than Bethesda rpgs. Pentiment, Grounded, Pillars of Eternity, Tyranny, Pathfinders, Stick of Truth etc. They’ve actually gone on to make some pretty unique titles, while Bethesda has milked the rpg cow for pretty much their entire existence.
