fr, i understand people caring about actual cultural artifacts but yelling over people pirating shit fanservice anime is crazy. interestingly, many japanese words are still in the US and there isnt much demand from japan for the return because theyre low quality and mass produced but like its still part of that history/possibly connected to someone

this just fucking pisses me off when foreigners say it. contrary to what people might say on the internet, we dont accept those views in the mainstream. 50+ million europeans died in WW2, we descend from those communists who fought against them, innocent people who were displaced, people who opposed those parties etc. there was that ukrainian girl killed by a black guy, nobody even mentions that case IRL or harasses black people about it. dont get me wrong, we have tons of issues around racism but i hate it when outsiders chime in.

i live in eastern europe and everybody here has an AC and invests into them for older buildings. living in italy without AC is insane

exactly, japan has this weird obsession with not making their products available in every country they can. only the US, maybe some of the first world countries in europe. its obvious that the US has to fund their economy and control how the world views them bc any other country this opposed to everything wouldnt thrive otherwise

honestly i separate reality from my personal comfort bc reality is not comforting at all. there are wars and economic turmoil everywhere but you can still get comfort from concrete things like your hobbies and friends. i think that most non-americans do this easily. its mostly an american thing to think everything is gonna be alright (sorry no offense). like people of color in america who genuinely thought racism was over because obama was in office while bombings were still happening in africa and middle east. not everything is gonna be okay at all times but that doesnt mean you have to be depressed.

genuinely why dont companies in japan just their products accessible then… manga artists dont even look our way as foreign fans because many of us have to pirate it. sorry to say it but most countries on the face of the earth are not willing to carry the manga ”My Little Sister is Tight II” at the grocery store. korea makes so many of their products easily available everywhere. nobody is doing Buldak imports on the black market because there is no need for that. i would be happy to buy japanese products if i didnt have to go through some shady websites and pay my left kidney for shipping. and they rub it in our face that they have these products and have the gall to brag about how we dont get their things. are these chinese farmers in question importing these fruits
