Again with the stats. I know people are poor and are suffering in Romania but stats are not showing the real every day life of people.

I don’t care how it was for you in the USSR. For me and my family in Romania it was the worst thing. It’s not much better now but at least we’re not afraid to speak against the state and we can quit our jobs.

It seems to me that it’s better to accept the fact that human organizations tend to form into hierarchies and to create clear rules about responsibilities of individuals in positions of power as well how these individuals should be recalled when they transgress.

I dunno, if that’s the case then I don’t wanna live in this world any more and I’ll just kill myself. I don’t agree with doing things this way and I never will. I guess I’m just not made for this society and the society can fuck off.

And to clarify, I’m all for taking the means of production, but only as long as it doesn’t turn authoritarian. And a state + hierarchies will always lead to that. Unless you aim for the same as I say, you aim to enslave me, just in a different system.

IT’s the same from the POV of the average person. They slave away their entire lives for no reason other than making some numbers go up. Whether it’s the company’s stock price or the state’s production and exports, it’s the same shit for the average joe.

And growing up in a place like that, I can tell you it was horrible. People being afraid of speaking against the state for fear of being sent to work camps, people never having the option to just quit their job…

How is that freedom? Honestly, it’s better in this system now because if you have some money you can take breaks sometimes. You couldn’t do that in my country under the old regime. If the old regime comes back i’ll just kill myself.

I don’t care. Making fun of people suffering is never ok. The people that do that are the same ones that are ok with sending people to gulags and concetration camps. I don’t consume mainstream media very much but I still have a serious doom feeling. And I think that doom is feeling is right, it’s just that it’s about my life sucking because of climate in 10 years or maybe more.

And short term I have a doom feeling from the obvious inequalities in society which will only worsen with climate change and which seems to push society towards fascism.

People will die, and are already dying, because of the broken system we are living in.

What I’m trying to get at is that I think that the problem with the media is not that it’s focusing on the negative, but that it’s focusing on the wrong negative.

They’re only showing the effects of the problems in our society, but not the problems themselves.

• they show thieves and crime going up but not the poverty that causes that crime
• they show people angry and protesting but not the oppression and the inequality they’re experiencing
• they show people losing their homes and lives from floods and fires, but they don’t show the stats on climate change or who are the biggest polluters (except when they say China)

And I know why they do it this way - it’s cheaper. Capitalism ruins everything, including media. It doesn’t make fiscal sense to go the extra effort and do an investigation on the problem when you can just report on the bad stuff and focus on making it catchy/clickbaity. It’s as low effort as it gets because it that’s how it has to be in a capitalist world.

Well I guess the problem is that he’s pushing it on others. I mean, if it’s a parody then obviously this doesn’t apply but if it’s not, it’s just as annoying as religious people with their push on others.

Other than that, ye, who gives a shit. He maybe feels better because he goes out in nature and stands in the sun. Whether hitting the butthole actually matters or not, that’s not necessarily relevant, he still feels better after this.

The soviet union was also not very leftist. It had socialist policies but they seem to have forgotten the purpose of socialism quite fast.

All corporate software is crap and it’s gonna get worse and worse as the need to hold subscribers and users increases. It’s already happening with facebook and other social media making segregates spaces online and it’s only gonna get worse if people start using VR and other shit.

It’s gonna lead to people being completely disconnected from each other unless they use the same service or are part of the same social media. I do not have a good prospect for us if things don’t change drastically when it comes to tech and our use of tech.
