I only know how to do it manually by editing the url. Say you want to visit “asklemmy” on lemmy.ml and “asklemmy” on beehaw, but through lemmy.ml. The two URLs for this look like:
lemmy.ml/c/asklemmy lemmy.ml/c/asklemmy@beehaw.org
This may be a bad example because I don’t know if beehaw actually has an asklemmy community.

I’m wondering the same. I assume you have control over the domain name so you can further customize your username but not sure what else there is to it.
For me it’s just ignorance. I don’t know if chromium offers what I’m looking for but I do know Firefox does.
Yeah, I’m leaning towards Proton mail with a custom domain.
I can’t quite pin down why exactly, but I’ve pivoted hard towards self-hosting these past few months. My biggest issue at the moment is finding a Gmail alternative.
