not in the sense of animals that organize their society in a communist style.
fashies have eagles, libertarians have snakes, what’s the communist animal?
I can’t believe you have to ask this
Comrade Carpincho.
Human. Because communism, ultimately, is about humanity. No more exploitation of human by human, no more class division. Prosperity and freedom that shall cast down the shackles that bind us and allow human history to truly begin

😍
Comb Jelly! It has an anus that disappears when not needed, if that ain’t Dialectics I don’t wanna know what is
this comment made me spit my coke, lmao
There’s your kitsch, Milan Kundera!
Lol I just got that joke, I’m slow😂
It was a subtle one, haha. I loved Unbearable Lightness of Being when I first read it. I thought I’d reread it last year and got about five pages in before realising it’s not written for Marxists.
As long as it’s entertaining and enjoyable Id check it out
Homo sapiens
well…yes
Seriously, prolly any communal animal works, which is most of them. Birds, fish, Ants, bees, plant-eating mammals, all need to work together to survive. Ants are probably my fav because they build interesting structures, have a division of labor, complex social structures, and they do all kinds of stuff to protect the hive and make it thrive. A solitary ant is useless without the colony.
apeanimal together strongI’ll one up you, RED ants. Especially the Red WORKER Ants. And I only know this cause I was hyper fixated on the game Grounded, and one of the player characters calls the Red Worker Ants “comrade” when you pass them and I really hope it was intentional.
RED ants! 👍
Ants! 👍
you know what’s funny? the bald eagles that fashies so love to associate with don’t even make the hawkish sounds. they sound more like chicks. pretty accurate to how fashies are tbh.
as for your question, idk, elephants and/or capys maybe?
As far as I know: none. There’s no specific animal tied to communism or socialism, it’s usually symbols or people used instead in coat of arms, posters, icons/avatars, flags, etc. I’m sure there’s some socialist nations in the past that used certain animals in their symbols, but nothing universal between all socialist states, the only consistency or near universal symbolism between them is either the colour red, a star, or the hammer and sickle, these are the most common in socialist and communist symbolism. Hope this helped comrade.
Wheat and other types of grain were another very popular type of socialist symbol besides the red or gold star and the hammer and sickle.
Such as can be seen on this emblem:
Or on the emblem on the flag of the GDR.
Right, that too, I completely forgot to mention that for some reason, thanks comrade.

Ants! 👍
Well we have a bear (USSR/Russia) and a dragon (China), but I would argue the ant. Ants are tiny in size but huge in numbers, they work together as a community to maintain a massive society, they aren’t afraid of hard work even becoming bridges or ropes for the colony to progress in it’s united goals, and the heart of a single ant is ginormous as a single ant can lift something between 10 and 100x it’s own weight. Highly admirable! 😍
Check out these ant facts: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/invertebrates/facts/ants
-
There are 2.5m ants for every human on earth
-
Invasive ants destroy capital costing the world economy $51b between 1930 and 2021. (don’t worry, we [our class] can reorganize society so this isn’t a problem without killing the ants)
-
Ants are “enthusiastically social insects that live in highly structured nest communities” 😍
-
“Ant colonies are so tightly knit and efficient, they can pass useful knowledge between generations, which some experts believe constitutes a colony “memory.” This kind of communal knowledge is essential for defense, so ants can easily differentiate friendly and hostile forces.”
-
Ants are diverse much like we are: “Within the many thousands of known ant species, there are many that fill unique ecological roles, resulting in the development of special physical characteristics and interesting behavior.”
…Ants 😁👍
How do I avoid them eating my food though, that looks like petit bourgeois adventurist terrorism, destroying the personal property of a prole
Alzo love ants, they have the most communist society
That was actually the funniest communist joke I’ve read today, and I visited the pickup lines thread. Good on you.
Some ants are based commies but some of them are zinovievites trying to coup my house by killing foodkirov
You ever seen the movie antz? I remember it having some marxist themes iirc.
Yes! People talk about this a lot. Well they say “positive life lessons to be learned” but those things they reference overlap they just see things not through a Marxist lens.
Ants are also haplodiploid. Male ants have half the number of chromosomes as the female ones. And there is no crossing over during gamete formation so all siblings of the same sex have the same genetic sequence.
So they’re all like brothers…or, even more so. Neat! No wonder they bond so well

Comrades mice! 🐁

I can’t help but picture a pair of Soviet soldiers sneaking into the Nazi lines with explosives to destroy the tanks.
Pass me the dynamite, comrade.
I thought you had the dynamite.
I gave you the bag.
I thought that was your dirty washing. I threw that in the laundry. The bag was so light!
Small fight breaks out. A Nazi soldier walks past. The Soviets stop their fight.
What do we do now, comrade?
We can’t go back without destroying these tanks. What have you got on you?
Pulls out a lunchbox with a couple of peanut butter sandwiches
💡🤷♀️🤷
This better work!
They smear the peanut butter on fuel lines and quietly leave
Don’t tell anyone, all right?
Not cats
WHY
I love my keety, but he’s pure, concentrated liberalism. Only cares about himself and what he can get away with. He’s even a very people-friendly cat, but his affection is mostly heat-based; when its hot out he wants nothing to do with the humans.
sphynx cats are the vanguard of the revolution though, they’re selfless and do nothing but poop, eat and love the people (proletariat) unconditionally, it’s a bummer that we live under capitalism so having one of them costs (tons of) money, cats became commodities :(((((
Its nice that cats are less commodified than other pets, like dogs especially. Most people’s cats come from shelters or off the street, as opposed to dog breeding which is a massive and awful industry.
But yes we are still exploiting them for their entertainment value. Def one of the spiciest debates in vegan communities, on whether having pets at all is justified, and whether it classifies as commodification.
Also ethics of outdoor cats and supporting a meat industry just to feed our carnivorous pets.
Absolutely. I tried to get my partner to switch ours to vegan cat food, but she won’t :(. Cats have been living off this stuff fine for decades, and its perfectly healthy. Taurine is the main thing they absolutely need that they get from eating critters, and it has been synthesized, and comes in all vegan cat foods.
Agree, just look and think about themselves and no one else, also outdoor ones kill too many dinosaurs, both birds and reptiles.
