• “Nauctis: The Sunken Realm” is noted to be the first set without any creatures with flying.
  • “Kamigawa: Titanbreach” is a kaiju vs mech set, with creatures from the monster plane of Ikoria invading the cyberpunk setting of Kamigawa.
  • “Zhalfir” is a plane associated with the character Teferi. It was trapped in a pocket dimension for awhile, but a recent storyline brought it back.

There will be three “universes beyond” crossover sets. At least one of them is expected to be Marvel, possibly two. An X-Men set is assumed for either 2027 or 2028.

Upcoming sets in 2026 are “The Hobbit”, “Reality Fracture”, and “Star Trek”.

    Maro has wanted to do Marvel since before the Jacetice League. If he were actually a good writer outside of design articles (like I dunno a fucking novel or something. He stopped bringing up Rosanne), the Magic movie/TV show WotC wants to do would have been released decades ago. So now we have this. Richard Garfield hates it. The suits at Hasbro love it because they get recognized at cocktail parties now (actual quote).

    I’m able to play the game through sheer momentum and being somewhat infinite at the local shops.
