[Shameless self-promotion no.2]

I wrote this PyQt6 desktop app that plays livestreams via Streamlink and lets you clip them.

It opens a stream, keeps a rolling local buffer, and lets you grab a clip of something that already happened — not just from the moment you hit record. No browser, no login, no telemetry, no “engagement.”

• Plays live streams through Streamlink + mpv (libmpv), not an embedded Chromium
• Rolling HLS buffer, so you can clip past moments off the timeline
• Clip export, snapshots, and recording with optional auto-remux to MP4
• Floating controls, keyboard shortcuts, on-screen feedback

Python 3.12+, needs mpv/libmpv and ffmpeg from your package manager (Streamlink tags along as a Python lib). Runs on Linux (and Windows/macOS if you must). Source is on GitHub, pip install clippiti-player and you’re done.

Not a startup, not a product, no roadmap deck. Just a small tool that does one thing. Patches and complaints welcome.
