    the Metaverse became the obsession of the tech world

    Maybe among journalists, venture capitalists and terrible analysts, but I do not know a single actual techy, neither among my colleagues nor on social media, who ever cared for it in the slightest.

      Yeah, to be honest …is it really dead if it never was alive? I feel second life or vrchat had more life to them than this corporate experiment.

      Also, I doubt Facebook has given up on it. They are just leaving it aside for a moment to try and focus on AI because it’s the new hot thing. I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point they come back to it, this time adding AI features.
