And Fediverse in general. I was a lurker on reddit and have just now created accounts on Lemmy and Kbin. I find these two platforms engaging, even though they’re small. I’m trying to engage more, not just lurk on here. I like the new communities on here, and I want to be a part of them. P.S. I still haven’t gotten the hang of Fediverse, completely.

    The growing acceptance of AI.

Don’t get me wrong, I am quite worried about some of the ways AI is being used currently. But any technology can be used or abused. And as someone interested in HRI and human-like robotics & AI, I always got reactions like terminator was gonna happen for real. Seeing that slowely changing is nice.

Now if only the ethics of those big companies making AI would also change, forced if not voluntarily, then we get some real cool stuff.

Nothing. Life’s beautiful, enjoy while it lasts. Sit back, relax, enjoy, have fun. It’s too short to be wasted worrying about things to be optimistic about.

Severence season 2 is probably going to be pretty good. Capitalism will eventually collapse under its own weight. Peak sweet corn season is in a couple months.

There’s a difference between eating food and eating what you want to eat. Capitalism drives innovation and gets people to grow more of what’s wanted. Sweet corn for example was first discovered in Pennsylvania and when people found that it was tasty and profitable people began growing it more places and transporting it to sell. Guess what drove that… capitalism

That every day that you stay alive, some older problems stop being meaningful, and you learn a bit better how to handle the newer problems.
