When I was in elementary school, we had behavior cards and normally we’d all be green. It goes from green, yellow, orange, then red. When the teacher got fed up with our behavior, she would start all of us on orange and we would have the end of the day to get to yellow or green, otherwise we would have to fill out a refocus form

Yes, though I can see the psychological reason behind it. Not only are you visibly in time out filing the sheet out, but you basically kind of have to be honest about it because it’s your handwriting and the teacher may present it during meetings. You can put a fake signature on it but then your parents will be like “huh how come you never brought this to my attention”

Biblical god is no better honestly, they just made him a really convoluted character to fit a classic tribal god into the frames of omniscient and omnipotent. Now that i think of it, Azathoth from Cthulhu mythos is direct parody of that view on god, plus ton of gnosticism.
Notice how each and every one of those arguments on the bottom panel are employed to defend capitalism.

Liberals when defending Democracy
It’s so weird that God is somehow restricted to the human understanding of free will. Theoretically, it could be defined as anything because he’s god. Free will could be 500 sandwiches in a mineshaft. More importantly, it could be a world free of evil but people are still required to seek god on their own.
But no. God’s will conveniently matches with our understanding of philosophy.

The only good guy in Greek mythology was Prometheus, and look what they did to him. Though his punishment didn’t actually took that long in godly terms since even Zeus finally acknowlegded Prometheus is just a great guy and ordered Heracles to free him.
Also dude from other cathegory, still douchebag but getting way too much flak was Agamemnon. It’s actually a small miracle that he functioned in society somewhat considering his father was one of the evillest scum in entire mythology, his uncle rivalled father, and later he had the monstrually bad luck with gods treating him as plaything and setting him up for some really wicked shit even for a greek god standards. So much of what he did really was not even his fault (greek gods also don’t give a slightest shit about concept of free will, and they have rather crude and direct, often spectacular, methods of solving that and making mortals do what they want).

You know I think its kinda low key hilarious that on a certain level the moral of an overwhelming amount of mythology is: “If god(s) get personally involved in your affairs you’re about to have a really REALLY bad time.”

To be fair, I think we got to this point in Christianity in part due to Greek philosophers’ interpretations and arguments of Christianity. Greek influence is now virtually inseparable in mainstream Christianity as it is also in mainstream Islam.
I don’t even think the omnipotent, so on and so forth, perception of God that is now identified with popular Christianity after millenia of argument makes any sense Biblically speaking. It is far more idealistic, Greek philosophy than anything.

I will always be angry that Hades always gets the portrayal he does. Even in Hades him being an antagonist sucks.
Ha yeah. Sidenote my favorite thing about Hades is how they’re all so stubborn- everyone refuses to move an inch. And it makes perfect sense because all of these people are immortals spending eternity in each others’ proximity - having just the slightest amount of adaptability or giving anyone around them any leeway would, on a geographic time scale, basically destroy their entire identities many times over
